About

Hello! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Erin Tharp, and I’m in my midish thirties. I am severely disabled stemming from an illness at age 14, but thankfully the thinking part of my brain works fine; it’s the walking and talking that are tough. My life is difficult, it’s true, but writing is my escape.

However, there is something that I love even more than writing! DOGS! I’m the sister of a sweet, extremely gentle black Lab/Jack Russell mix named Pippa (my mom, sister, and I are fans of the royals). I am also the mother of an Australian Jack Russell Terrier named Henry after Henry Huggins, which was my favorite book as a kid. Although Henry is so young (his birthday is February 28, 2017), might be what my family calls “the dog of a lifetime,” meaning he may just be my all-time favorite.

I currently have a blog I consider an “etcetera blog,” because there is no subject; it’s whatever I feel like writing about. That works because I am extremely random. Other people may call it quirky.

With this blog, my goal is to take the Daily Prompt every day (I will allow myself a few break days for when life happens) and somehow relate it to one or both dogs. I think of this blog as a personal challenge. I think I am up for it.

So welcome! If you enjoy the Daily Prompts and/or dogs, you’ve come to the right place!
